Apple pie in a jar
This is a
quick fix recipe. It is so good to have pie fillings in refrigerator. We serve
it with waffles and pancake. Fresh, sweet, chunky fruit with much less sugar
when compared to jams and syrups. The preparation time is just a little bit
more than the time you will take to get the fruit ready.
Wash, peel
core and dice the apples. Combine all ingredients -except apples and lemon
juice-in a heavy bottom pan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Let it boil
for a minute, till thick and bubbly. Add the lemon juice and remove from heat. Pack
glass jar with the diced apples. Pour the syrup over to cover the apples. Will
last in refrigerator up to one week.
